Black Owned Brands to Follow
Now more than ever it's time to support black businesses. With the current pandemic, more and more companies are suffering. Black owned brands aren't always on the forefront so here is a list of a few clothing and lifestyle brands to follow and support.
Daily Paper is a clothing brand based in Amsterdam created by three childhood friends. They offer clothing that can be apart of your everyday wardrobe. I love their comic prints that can be seen on a lot of the designs and they even have clothing for kids!
This self-titled brand was created by Keama Garrett based in New York City. She creates clothing with bold prints and color. Keama was most recently featured in Beyonces' Black is King video album. This designer is on the rise and should be one to follow!
There isn't one thing not to like about this brand. You can't help but to love everything this designer has to offer. From her take on denim to her cargo designs people are sure to do a double take. Nichole Lynel represents sophistication and confidence that all women have in them.
Tongoro is a brand that was founded in 2016 by Sarah Diouf. What I love about this brand are the amazing prints that are larger than life. All of the designs are 100% made in Africa, has great pricing, and is offered for men and women. Since it's launch, Tongoro has been seen on celebrities including Naomi Campbell, Iman, and Burna Boy just to name a few.
